She has been an amazing teacher who has put so much thought and effort into her retreat to ensure everyone had the best experience. About Ling, Holistic Yoga Retreat Leader

Once suited and booted in the corporate world, Ling previously spent eleven years climbing the career ladder becoming a Global Marketing Communications manager in a B2B sector within a large multi-national energy company. Ling took up yoga to combat the unhealthy sedentary lifestyle of her desk job that involved quite a bit of European travel. Ling embarked on a Yoga Teacher Training journey in 2001, not with the intention to but to delve deeper into her own personal practice and to have deeper understanding and greater appreciation of all facets of yoga including the philosophy and not just the Asana (physical) practise. She taught during training and discovered her love for sharing the joy and benefits of yoga – helping people to feel better in their bodies and calmer in their minds from today’s sedentary and stressful lifestyles.

Ling has been practising yoga since 2001, and teaching since 2007. Having swapped the suits and boots for lycra and bare-feet – Ling believes in making yoga accessible for everyone and is therefore trained in Hatha yoga, yoga therapy, yoga for children and pregnancy, advanced Yin and is also a teacher trainer in therapeutic applications of restorative yoga. She is passionate about teaching alignment based Hatha yoga so students can stay safe in their practise; improving stability and flexibility, while gaining strength and stamina – for a stronger fitter body and a more resilient mind.

Elvira Loscertales, Sound Therapist.

I am delighted to have another opportunity to collaborate with the excellent Elvira Loscertales whom I met on my travels several years ago in Nepal.  We both trained at the same School for Sound Therapy with Himalayan Singing Bowls.

Elvira comes from Madrid, and has always had a keen interest in oriental cultures and Eastern philosophy: reading books, attending workshops in alternative and holistic treatments, which prompted her to leave her office job to pursue her passion where she travelled to India many years ago – a journey that completely changed her life.

Elvira started her yoga journey as a self-taught practitioner.  She practised with videos at home, while working as massage therapist in cruise liners. The practise made her life feel amazing, as she progressed through her physical practise onto her Spiritual path of greater Self Awareness.  Qualified as a yoga instructor, and an avid mindfulness practitioner, Elvira later went to Thailand to teach yoga, then Nepal where she learnt the therapeutic applications of singing bowls as an energetic healing modality.
