The Daily Programme
You will enjoy two yoga classes daily, which will together deepen your connection with your mind, body and spirit. The early morning class will be energising vinyasa flow yoga class to get your day off to a beautiful start, before a delicious breakfast.
The evening yoga will be a more restorative and softening yin practice, working on releasing areas of deep-rooted tension and resistance, allowing emotional blockages to unfold and reawakening the body from deep within. Both classes will be suitable for all levels and experience.
Suryalila has an inspiring, spacious and fully equipped yoga shala with wooden floors, a beamed ceiling and plenty of light and air. A magnificent dome yoga shala has also been built recently. This breathtaking space with underfloor heating has a dome window with breathtaking views across the rolling hills. There will be the opportunity to practise in both places during your stay.
Throughout the day you will be offered three delicious vegetarian meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Suryalila kitchen specialises in gourmet international vegetarian cuisine, using the freshest seasonal, locally-sourced organic fruits and vegetables available, artfully prepared in a varied and truly eclectic international menu.
Between yoga classes there will be the chance to explore the beautiful natural surroundings or simply relax by the natural saltwater swimming pool with views of the surrounding hills or in a hammock in the shade of the olive grove. During the week there will be one yoga free day.

About Jade Lizzie
Jade is a 500 hour Yoga Alliance certified teacher, with a wealth of experience teaching classes, workshops and retreats all over the world. She has undertaken Advanced Yoga Teacher Training with both Frog Lotus International and Forrest Yoga. Jade is passionate about sharing the physical, mental and emotional benefits of yoga, and considers it a profoundly healing practice.
“Yoga was a game-changer for me, at a time when I was going through a lot of personal turmoil. It gave me a space to become fully present, connected with my body and immersed in the beauty of movement and breathing. Teaching yoga is the greatest joy. It is an absolute privilege to watch students as they grow in confidence, strength, openness and ultimately acceptance. Many of us have very little opportunity in our daily lives to take our focus inwards, and explore without judgement whatever comes up. Yoga provides that sacred space.” ~ Jade Lizzie
Jade teaches creative, playful classes of vinyasa yoga, a style in which you flow from pose to pose in a dynamic, fluid sequence. She integrates Forrest-inspired yoga elements with an emphasis on deep core strength and occasional longer holds of postures, which allow students to really feel into their magic.
Jade is inspired by the understanding that when we challenge ourselves physically, we connect with our inner strength. She meets her students where they are, and helps them to move forward, perhaps towards more openness, more strength or more balance. Whether you want to master arm balances, or find more headspace, Jade’s classes will support you to get there.
Jade co-founded Yoga Let Loose with her partner Tom (look out for him on the Akasha schedule too!), a group which leads events and workshops focused on yoga and adding in travel, adventure and fun.
“I would travel far to attend Jade’s yoga sessions. She achieves a beautiful balance between the spiritual and the practical in her teaching and her instructions are clear and assured. Jade is a natural yoga teacher.” ~ Ian Coleman, Nottingham
“You can’t help but feel more connected after one of Jade’s practices! Her voice instantly transports you to a place of inner calm, coupled with a nurturing teaching style that feels both fluid and fun! My husband, myself and our two boys (14 and 12) enjoyed it immensely!”
~ Sara Elliott, Isle of Wight
“I’m not very confident with yoga but Jade is amazing at making her classes relaxed, fun and explaining the poses and breathing in a supportive manner. She helped lots of parts of yoga “click” for me and I’ve come home having made huge progress physically and mentally.”
~ Gemma Brady, London
“I had a great time participating Jade’s yoga retreat at Suryalila. She is a wonderful and caring teacher of yoga, but also in mindfulness and life coaching. It definitely helped me to find inner peace and strength, which was all I had hoped for.” ~Susan Heinze, Germany
