About Kathryn Cullen
I consider Yoga a lifelong pursuit and believe it is not just a workout, but a self-exploration cultivating awareness on many levels; mental, emotional, spiritual and physical. It is the perfect opportunity to be curious about who we are.
As a fully qualified British Wheel of Yoga and Yoga Alliance teacher, I have studied various styles of Hatha Yoga and Meditation including: Viniyoga, Vinyasa Flow, Ashtanga, Iyengar, Power Yoga, the teachings of Vanda Scaravelli, Mindfulness, Buddhist, Yoga Nidra and Pranayama. Many of these disciplines are integrated into my classes to create flowing, dynamic, mindful, flexible practices.
When I was confronted with an illness, Yoga was instrumental in the healing process and helped to bring balance back into my life. Qualified in Restorative Yoga, I also help people in similar situations renew their physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
My general yoga classes are suitable for all levels, ages and abilities. Every one of the practices I teach focus on the essential components of breath awareness, posture, safe and effective body alignment and always include the extremely important elements of relaxation and meditation.
Traveling the world facilitating instructor workshops and regularly touring the UK, I present further education to instructors and have produced many popular DVDs associated with these tours including the very successful ‘Yoga on the Ball’.
My number one aspiration is to encourage students to incorporate the sense of balance, stability and harmony they learn through these classes into their daily lives. I believe that Yoga enables us to nourish and cleanse our body, mind and spirit and enjoy sharing Yoga from the heart with others that are beginning, continuing or looking to explore their own personal paths towards wellbeing.
