This yoga retreat is lead by Margherita Dal Pra, the founder of YogaM. Margherita is a very experienced yoga and meditation teacher with 14 years of teaching experience. Her classes are a synthesis of Anusara bio-mechanical principles of alignment, along with heart-centered themes and the lineage and depth of knowledge of Tantric Hatha energetics in the Para Yoga® style. This yoga retreat is open to all ages and levels of fitness and experience. Every session will have attention to detail (alignment), awareness of breath (pranayama), openness to grace (attitude) and intelligent sequencing (vinyasa krama). All sessions will be adapted to the group and modifications of the poses will be offered to cater for all participants and to ensure that everyone is receiving the benefits of the practice and individual attention.

ACTIVITIES

There’s a lovely salt-water swimming pool, dotted with sun loungers, and far reaching countryside views. A perfect place to soak up the spring sunshine between yoga classes and spend a lazy afternoon.

If you feel a bit more active, you can detoxify and relax in the sweat lodge, go riding or rent a bicycle to explore the stunning countryside. There are lots of beautiful places to discover and you can easily reach the local white villages or travel further afield to Ronda, Cadiz or Seville for sightseeing, shopping, flamenco and tapas. We’ll have two afternoons plus one full day free during the training to enjoy some leisure time.

There are also therapists available to give bodywork sessions, including Thai Yoga massage, deep tissue massage, Swedish massage, Ayurvedic massage and other healing arts.

ABOUT MARGHERITA

My personal yoga journey began in 1994 in Italy. It was as if I had started breathing for the first time and I discovered the person I call “I”. I was hooked! My enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge were awakened. I started practising daily and soon my health, emotional well-being and whole life were transformed in the most positive way.

I became a yoga teacher in 2003. Since then I’ve met and trained with the most gifted teachers, including Aadil Palkhivala, founder of the Purna school of Yoga alignment-based style, Shiva Rea who introduced me to Prana Flow, and Rod Stryker who taught me the Parayoga® method and with whom I continue to study and find inspiration.

In 2008 I discovered the heart opening grace and therapeutics of Anusara Yoga, a style of hatha yoga that incorporates all the aspects of yoga that I love. I studied and continue to study with Sianna Sherman, Bridget Woods Kramer, Zhenja La Rosa, Ross Raybourn, Jayendra Hanley, Bruce Bowditch, Marc St Pierre and Desiree Rumbaugh.

I will always be a student first. My passion for understanding and knowledge is vast, and the more I explore and learn, the more I’m able to share my wisdoms in a new and vibrant light. It’s a true blessing and honour to share this journey with my wonderful students.

I am fully insured with British Wheel of Yoga and am a certified RYT500 Yoga Alliance. I am also in the process of becoming a RYS-200 (YA Registered Yoga School). I’ve been mentoring teachers in training at Yogacampus Teacher Training diploma course since 2008.
