ADVENTURE AND YOGA RETREATS

Our handcrafted Adventure and Yoga Retreat combines daily energising and restorative yoga classes with super exciting activities in the beautiful setting of Andalusian Natural Parks.

From canyoning in the stunning Green Gorge, kayaking in a local lake, cycling the Green Road, hiking in Grazalema Natural Park, Via Ferrata cimbing in Ronda, relaxing in Suryalila’s salt water swimming pool and sauna, to experiencing relaxing sound baths and enjoying delicious organic meals every day, you will love it all.

 

The goal of this retreat is to help you deepen your yoga practice in a beautiful retreat environment while exploring the Spanish countryside through outdoor activities here in the breathtaking nature of Andalusia.

Yoga

Yoga classes and workshops will be focused on alignment, moving with integrity, powerful breathing and meditation practices. The morning sessions will be vigorous and uplifting and the afternoon classes will be rejuvenating and relaxing.

Retreat Leader

Lidiya is a resident teacher at the beautiful Suryalila Retreat Centre in Southern Spain where she also leads Adventure & Yoga and Escape Christmas Retreat. Yoga has been central to Lidiya’s lifestyle since discovering the practice fifteen years ago.

Her yoga classes are vigorous and energising, and at the same time balanced with more gentle and calming sequences. Lidiya strongly focuses on breath work while drawing awareness within to inspire conscious integration of the physical body and the mind. She is an attentive teacher and aims to inspire her students to bring meditation into movement.

She is leading the practitioners with a feeling of strength, freedom and inner calm. Her classes usually end with singing bowls and sound therapy.

 

Apart from vinyasa flow she teaches yin yoga, pranayama, restorative and AcroYoga classes.

With her students, she loves sharing what yoga has given her – balance in life, inner wellbeing and radiant health.

Lidiya was elated to discover Frog Lotus Yoga International, a school which is influenced by Ashanga, Iyengar, and Forrest Yoga. She studied to become a vinyasa flow yoga teacher with the internationally acclaimed, Vidya Heisel. Recently she has completed a yin yoga training with Sara Powers and Thai Yoga Massage with Tripple Gem School of Thai Massage.

In addition to teaching yoga, Lidiya is a tourism management specialist, with a background in product development and organisation of wellness retreats. Her holidays are deeply nourishing, fun, adventurous and explorative.

Day 1

Day 2

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flaw Class

  • Hiking the stunning Sierra De Grazalema National Park & lunch in Grazalema village

Sierra De Grazalema National Park and Unesco Biosphere Reserve is one of Spain’s most ecologically outstanding areas, home to indigenous pine trees, and rich flora and fauna. The park is also famous for its impressively rugged limestone landscape of cliffs, gullies, caves and gorges.

Day 3

 

  • 90 min Vinyasa Yoga Class

  • Canyoning: Trip to The Green Gorge in Sierra de Grazalema National Park.

The Green Gorge is a spectacular canyon that has been artfully carved by the streams of Pinar River. It is located within 40 40-minute drive from Suryalila, near the village of Zahara de la Sierra, in the Park of Sierra de Grazalema. Famous for its lush vegetation and wildlife, it offers outstanding views with certain spots reaching 400 meters in depth. Be prepared for an unforgettable hike, several exciting abseils and refreshing baths.

  • Restorative, Yoga Nidra and Sund Healing session 

 

Day 4

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flow Class in the morning

  • Cycling the Green Way in Andalusian countryside

The Green Way is a former railway, now converted into a cycling & walking path. Along the route, old train stations have been turned into restaurants, bars & places to stay. The 36km-long bike route (Puerto Serrano – Olvera) will take you through beautiful scenery and 30 tunnels that were never put into use by a railway company.

Day 5 REST DAY

 

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flow Class in the morning

 

Enjoy a well-deserved rest during this day. There will be an opportunity to book various styles of massage treatments with Suryalila's divine therapists and enjoy a book by the pool or a hammock.

 

  • Permaculture tour at Suryalila grounds and explanation of reforestation project

  • Flamenco dancing

 

Day 6

 

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flow Class in the morning

  • Via Ferrata + Trip to Ronda

In Ronda, the most famous white town of Andalusia, you will climb a gorgeous Via Ferrata route. Via Ferrata means ‘Iron Way’ and it is essentially a path on a mountain that consists of iron hooks attached to the stone. You are all equipped with safety gear.

The place overlooks the old bridge transcending over the impressive 98m Tajo gorge. In these beautiful settings, you will be stunned by amazing views, from a perspective that few have the opportunity to experience.

Day 7

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flow Class

  • Kayaking in a lake

  • Restorative Yoga Class

 

Day 8 Departure

  • 90 min Vinyasa Flaw Class

  • Time to relax & pack

All activities are optional and you can always retreat to the restorative embrace of all Suryalila’s facilities and beautiful surroundings.

 

Suryalila’s world-class kitchen team will be treating you to organic, vegetarian meals prepared with much love and will also seduce you with the most delicious desserts on earth.

 

With its beautifully decorated rooms, gorgeous rolling hills & olive groves, salt water pool and nourishing meals, Suryalila ensures you will be completely satisfied. This trip is open to all levels of yoga experience, all ages, families, couples, friends and solo travellers.

 

We also have massage therapists available on-site to take care of you after those extra-long days!
