Have you had a busy day? Ease stress in a few breaths! Instantly calm your mind with this simple breathing exercise 'Bhramari pranayama'.

This breathing technique is inspired by the black Indian bee called Bhramari. Pranayama is a Sanskrit word that can be divided into two, prana and yama. Prana refers to the subtle life energy, and yama means to control. The exhalation in this pranayama resembles the sound of a bee, hence it is also known as humming bee breath.



Try humming bee breath in four easy steps:

1. Sit up tall in a comfortable position, soften the belly, relax the shoulders, gently close the eyes.


2. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, make a humming sound like a bee. 3. Cycle through a few rounds - deep, slow breathes on the inhale and humming on the exhale. 4. Slowly return to normal breath and marinate in the effects of the pranayama as the soothing vibrations nourish every cell in your body. Ahhh...
