Salt Water Swimming Pool
At Suryalila Yoga Retreat Centre, you can relax and rejuvenate in our natural salt water pool.
The pool is set amidst stunning and vast vistas of the beautiful Spanish countryside. Summer months in Andalucia average around 30º Celsius, so taking a dip in the pool can be a very regular event! There is a lovely covered terrace with dappled light which offers shade from the hottest part of the day. You can also choose to sun yourself poolside on our wooden sun-beds in the full sunshine.
We keep the pool chlorine-free, and the salt water makes you wonderfully buoyant! Perfect for floating on your back as the clouds drift by…
We have fresh water poolside showers and all guests are provided with large bath sheet on arrival.
Please note there is no lifeguard on duty and parents must be responsible for their own children using the pool.
At Suryalila Yoga Retreat Centre, we endeavour to make your experience as beautiful as possible and constantly upgrade our facilities. Overtime when you come back to Suryalila, you will be surprised to discover new updates.
Right now, we are excited to present you the Eco Sauna! It was built out of completely natural materials – mainly clay and cob. Loads of love and dedication was put in to this project and we are now proud of the results.
Wether you are staying with us as an independent guest or part of a retreat you will be able to enjoy the rejuvenating and detoxifying effect of our cosy sauna up to three times a week.
The salt water swimming pool is right next to it, so you can take advantage and refresh yourself in the pool even during the winter months.
Relaxing in Our Pagodas and Hang Out Areas
At Suryalila Retreat Centre, we take relaxing to an artform. We have several lovely pagodas to hang out in, as well as a few hammocks under the olive trees and numerous artfully placed benches.
The new Moroccan Pavilion is our new favourite hangout area at Suryalila. It contains colourfully embroidered cushions from India, Guatemala and Bali as well as a Moroccan silver tray table. It is a great spot to relax, read a book, contemplate the expansive views, or watch the glorious Suryalila sunsets.
The front pagoda is graceful and elegant and overlooks the vegetable garden and the glorious view of Bornos Lake.
The back pagoda is peaceful and also has lovely views over the ruined convent and rolling hills. Both pagodas have benches, lounging chairs and hammocks. They can also be cleared to create small Yoga spaces, with room enough for 5 mats.
The front pagoda was imported from Bali and works harmoniously with the Spanish cortijo style. Both pagodas are beautiful spaces for relaxing, reading, doing your own practice, chatting over a cup of tea or watching the sunset. They both have terracotta tiles.
