I honestly did some of my best work this year while staying at Suryalila. The space and chilled out atmosphere allowed me to be more creative and more productive! Being there has reminded me of the importance of self care. In becoming more grounded and better connected to myself, I was able to better serve my clients.

Nestled serenely in a large open valley in the foothills of the Sierra de Grazalema National Park, Suryalila has been converted from an old olive mill into a peaceful rural sanctuary. Our Suryalila Extended Stay was inspired by you

The idea for our Suryalila Extended Stay came about during the pandemic as more people were wanting to escape crowded cities for our tranquil sanctuary in nature. Now, we want to share this opportunity with all of you and have created our Suryalila Extended Stay experience with special discounted long-stay prices for people like you who are looking for a refuge in paradise.

If you find yourself contemplating coming here to work, I’d say just do it! You really won’t regret it. Having been to Suryalila before, I knew how magical the place was, how close you are to nature and the sense of community you get as soon as you get through the door. I get to start my day with yoga, I eat delicious food and even make time for a cheeky lunchtime dip in the pool. As soon as I close my laptop, work finishes and I get to enjoy the simple life of yoga in southern Andalusia.

Chloe McCloskey is a Sustainability Consultant. Having worked for companies in both London and Manchester, she is now freelancing and taking full advantage of remote working.

Remote working at Suryalila has been fantastic — it has been super-productive yet perfectly tranquil! I start every day with either a Yoga class or a swim in the pool, before I move to my workspace of choice.

If I have meetings and international calls, I spend lots of time in the co-working space. Some days I work from the hammocks in the shade or the Pagoda. And at the end of the day, it’s time for a cold beer and watching the sunset over the rolling hills.

Combining all of this with the mountains and adventures nearby, there’s really everything I need here to make it the perfect co-working space.

Mike Gilbert is a Website Manager for a US-based tech company. He is part of a fully global marketing team and has worked remotely as a ‘digital nomad’ around the world.

I’ve just returned from a period of remote working at Suryalila and can’t recommend it enough! I suddenly realised that ‘working from home’ meant I could be working anywhere and Suryalila was the perfect spot. The essentials are all taken care of with yoga in the morning and three healthy meals a day, leaving ample space to relax or to get down to work. The team are very accommodating of independent schedules, so that if you need to be flexible on meal times because of a call then that’s ok. And if you can’t make morning yoga then it’s no big deal because you can swim at anytime (24 hours a day!), find an empty shala for self practice, or take a walk in the rolling hills. I honestly did some of my best work this year while staying at Suryalila. The space and chilled out atmosphere allowed me to be more creative and more productive! I have returned feeling rejuvenated, despite working throughout, and am already planning a trip back. On a practical note, I am a Psychotherapist and so my work demands a private space, quite, and reliable internet for zoom sessions. Suryalila was able to provide all of these. Just be open about what’s needed for your specialist role when you book and the team will work with you to make it happen. Being there has reminded me of the importance of self care, in becoming more grounded and better connected to myself, I was able to better serve my clients.
