Gift yourself the joy and power of silence and come back to your centre. This retreat is specifically designed to help you recover from stress and fatigue, to restore your inner balance, recharge your batteries and make you feel renewed and rejuvenated!

We will offer a mixture of restorative practices, therapeutic holistic healing work and coaching, all carefully picked to give maximum benefits to your emotional, physical and psychological health. Together with plenty of time and space to relax and leave the busy world behind!

With a daily extensive Yin yoga or Restorative yoga class you can put your body and mind in a state of relaxation where it can heal, recuperate and restore. Each class is designed for the purpose of relaxation and finding equilibrium in body and mind. Yin yoga specifically targets the deep tissues of the body and stimulates the “rest and digest” response of your nervous system. It will naturally switch your “off” button, enabling an emotional state of openness and flow.

Daily Yoga Nidra and Guided Meditations

Each day you can relax deeply with a Yoga Nidra session before bedtime or unwind in a guided meditation. This will help you activate the parasympathetic nervous system and move away from the detrimental fight-and-flight mode.

We normally go to bed with a lot of to-dos and thoughts in our head. Other times we watch something on tv or check our smartphones. Yoga Nidra and guided meditations will create a buffer of calmness before your bedtime, priming your brain you for a full, restorative sleep.


Get a reiki healing session or a one-on-one coaching session (60 min)
Receive a therapeutic holistic reiki session that will put you in a deep state of relaxation and boost your energetic system. You can also choose to get a personal coaching session. A one-on-one coaching session will allow you to get a new perspective at your life situation and provide you with practical tools to come back to your life with more resources and strategies.

Media Detox Challenge

Optional practice: (for the brave ones) we invite you to our media detox challenge for the duration of your stay. Leave your phone and laptop in your bag and discover the magic of silence. A temporary disconnection from technology can empower you and give you the chance to really connect with yourself and focus inward, rather than the outside world.

Day 1 : Arriving

Landing safe and sound in the heavens of Suryalila, this day is about arriving and relaxing.

Day 2 or Friday: Leaving the world behind

Today you slowly start to embark on a journey inward, leaving the outer world behind. We will start the day with an intention, the guided meditation and yoga session are designed to support the theme of the journey inward. Media detox starts (optional

Day 3 or Saturday: Coming to yourself

This day will be about stillness, coming back to yourself and finding tools to work with to ground and centre yourself. The guided meditation, hike and yin yoga session will support the theme of stillness and coming back to yourself

Day 4 or Sunday: Retooling & Recharging

Today you will connect with a more empowered version of yourself, feeling recharged, calm and stronger. You will learn tools in the workshop, restore the complete body and fall into a deep sleep after a healing and relaxing yoga nidra session

The retreat will be led by Ellen Aarts, our resident Yin Yoga teacher. Ellen also runs her own practice as a Burnout Coach and works with clients to help them overcome stress, anxiety and burnout.

Ellen is praised for her serene and calming presence. Her soothing voice creates atmospheres where people find inner stillness and come back to their centre.

She lived in Amsterdam for a big part of her life, where she was a manager in a risk management company and a journalist. After experiencing and overcoming a deep episode of burnout years ago she decided to make it her mission to help people who are in the same place as she once was. She is dedicated to create and hold a space where people can come back to their true nature and find a bit of peace on earth.
