This retreat is suitable for all yoga levels including beginners and anyone needing a nurturing getaway in nature. Stay in our beautiful retreat centre nestled in the Spanish mountains on the edge of the awe-inspiring Sierra de Grazalema national park. Enjoy dips in our refreshing saltwater pool, lovingly prepared vegetarian food and afternoon siestas in one of our softly swaying hammocks as the sun warms your shoulders.
One of the wellness activities you’ll enjoy is a walk in our favourite spot – along the banks of the flowing Majaceite river in El Bosque. Follow the beautiful river trail under a canopy of trees before stopping off in one of the inviting natural rock pools filled with pure mountain water for a revitalising cold dip. After, make your way back to Suryalila for a home cooked organic meal prepared using local, seasonal ingredients and a warming herbal tea made with fresh herbs grown in our permaculture gardens.

Charmaine is a Quiet, Creative, Empathic soul, who has had a deep calling to serve ever since she was a child.
This deep calling has led her down a long road of service, international travel, self study, discovery, recovery, and deep inner healing through her personal practices and studies.
She has a passion for helping others, working with energy and a deep love of Sound, music, meditation, yoga and travel; and her life’s journey and personal choices thus far have blessed her with an abundance of opportunities to continue her growth.
Charmaine holds a RYA 200 hour teacher training from Frog lotus Yoga.
She has worked as a senior assistant on a number of Frog Lotus teacher trainings in Spain and Bali.
She has completed an additional RYA 200 hour Teacher training in Yin Yoga with Jo Phee of @yinspiration and Joe Barnett @yinvarriations in Bali. She has also had the pleasure to be a mentor teacher on their yearly teacher training in Bali.
Over the last number of years Charmaine has continued to Study with her teacher Jo Phee and specialize in Yin Yoga.
This year she completed her RYA300 hour advanced Yin yoga training with @Yinspirationyinyoga giving her the title of RYA 500hrs in Yin Yoga.
She also works as a holistic therapist offering Sound healing, Energy healing, Thai yoga massage and Rebirthing breathwork.
Charmaine comes to her own mat daily tapping into the compass of her heart and listening to its loving guidance. She finds true contentment, strength and solace through fluid movement, stillness, breath, music, sound and the solitude found in nature. Her life is neither yin nor yang but a beautiful ongoing, interweaving, everchanging dance between the two.
